Honeymoon Island State Park

Caladesi Island State Park
Dr. Beach ranks Caladesi Island as second best in the nation for 2022, one of only two Florida beaches ranked in the top ten. The park is accessible only by boat and for an additional charge visitors can travel by ferry from Honeymoon Island to the neighboring and nearly untouched island. A marina offers restrooms and showers and concessions. Nature also abounds on Caladesi Island State Park. Kayaks are available to rent on the Dunedin Causeway to paddle to the island and to explore mangrove canopies, clear shallow water, white sand beach and abundant wildlife.

Dunedin Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center
Visit the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center at the west entrance to the downtown core. The city is the host of public events, including the Scottish Highland Games, Dia de los Muertos, Celtic Music Festival, Dunedin Wines the Blues, Art Harvest Art Festival, Toronto Blue Jays Spring Training games and more.

Dunedin Public Parks
The City of Dunedin offers twenty-nine public parks covering over three-hundred and fifty acres of green space welcoming citizens and visitors free of charge. Parks are available for hiking, bicycling, picnicking and playing and are often connected by the Pinellas Trail. Of special note is Highlander Park, a seventy-acre park that includes the Dunedin Fine Art Center / David L. Mason Children’s Art Museum, Dunedin Community Center, Highlander Pool, picnic tables, pavilions and more. Access to the untouched Hammock Park and its walkways is near the pool. If you are visiting with young children in warm weather, the Kiwanis Sprayground waterpark will be a favorite stop.

Dunedin Fine Art Center / David L. Mason Children’s Art Museum
The Dunedin Fine Art offers studio art classes and workshops in a variety of art media plus exciting exhibitions of the works of local and regional artists. Visitors enjoy admission free access to five exhibition galleries, the Gallery Shop for collectors and gift shoppers, and the Palm Café for a delicious lunch and beverages. City of Dunedin Self-Tour Public Art Map
The City of Dunedin offers creative public and private artworks available for citizens and visitors to enjoy. The Public Art Collection includes 60+ sculptures, bus shelters, murals, mosaics, artistic benches, bike racks and more, presenting a fun city-wide hunt for artworks by car, Jolly Trolley, bicycle or foot. Dunedin History Museum
At the downtown corner of Main Street and the Pinellas Trail stands the train station built in 1924 by the Atlantic Coast Railroad. The renovated and expanded station now houses the Dunedin History Museum. The museum exhibits 150 years of Dunedin History, and the ancient history of the native people who once lived in the area. Dunedin Golf Club
If you enjoy the game of golf and you are driving to Dunedin for a vacation, don’t forget your clubs. The Dunedin Golf Club boasts one of the finest courses anywhere and is open to the public. The renowned golf course architect Donald Ross designed this extraordinary golf course for the Dunedin Country Club in 1927 and from 1945 through 1962, the course was the home of the PGA, hosting eighteen Senior Tour Championships and initiating the Senior PGA Tour.
The club’s Fairway Grille and 19th Hole Lounge offer delicious dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and libations. The Golf Course is open from 7:00 a.m. to dark Monday – Sunday.
